14 Pratical Ways to Overcome Stress


1. Prayer and devotional
A time to time each day for quiet waiting, praying and enjoying God's presence. This is the most potent drug stress. The central figures in the Bible gives an example of this. Like King David, when he was in trouble, he always approached God through prayer and reading God's Word (the Bible).

2. Getting enough sleep
Trying to achieve the sleep for 7-8 hours a night, and avoid caffeine intake before bedtime. Have good sleep habits will keep us from stress.

3. Wake up on time
Many people experience stress at work because they start the day with a rush. Therefore, we should take into account the time that we need to get ready to serve / work and stick to that time.

4. Dare to say "no"
Work too much, and then followed with the thought that we could not finish it will make us drown in the stress. Therefore, the courage to say "no" if the task was too much. Do not force yourself.

5. Delegate
This especially can be done by the leader. If indeed there are tasks that can be done by someone else, why not entrust the task to someone else so that we can focus on doing a task that is only we who can do it.

6. Leeway
Provide extra time in days or weeks (depending on circumstances) to do other things not related to service or employment. Do what became our hobby or go to certain places as a distraction in the middle of a routine.

7. Sort jobs
Create a schedule for every task that we hold. With the sort of work like that, then we will not force myself to finish it all at once. And again, we are not overshadowed by the number of tasks.

If possible, avoid debt and using credit cards, especially if purchases for regular and routine.

9. Play games
The flurry of serving or working in front of the monitor screen for hours can definitely stressful, because it does not hurt if we occasionally play computer games that have diperangkat us.

10. Neat
Restore all things in place after we pick it up. Attitudes like this will keep the domain of services / our work (desk, room, house, etc.) remain tidy. And clear, neat and clean atmosphere that will minimize the emergence of stress.
 
11. Laugh
Laughter can relieve tension evident. In fact, now it is rampant laughter therapy. Laughter can stimulate spending 5-10 minutes endorphine and serotonin, which is a kind and also the body's natural morphine metanonin. All three of these substances is a substance good for the brain that make us feel calmer. Be open with readings and films that nuanced humor.

12. Keep an eye on your drinks
Avoid drinking coffee or soft drinks (soft drinks) throughout the day. Instead, drink water or fruit juice.

13. Stay away from gossip
Do not gossip or allow gossip affect us for doing our duty and responsibility. Gossip (mostly negative and not necessarily correct) would adversely affect our minds.

14. Routinely perform relaxation
Rest periodically to loosen the muscles, inhale a deep breath and release the fatigue. Take a moment to relax makes us become more productive.
